This numismatic product commemorates the bicentennial of Bolivia's independence on 6 August 1825. It is a noncirculated, non-legal-tender souvenir banknote, showcasing heroes, architecture and native flora and fauna.
The microprinting of "BS200" does indicate it was contemplated as a 200-boliviano legal-tender banknote at one time. There is a theory that Bolivia, bowing to pressure from holders of the national debt, decided against injecting more cash into circulation to avoid inflationary impacts—resulting in a noncirculating note without value.

The transparent window, employs the security feature VIVID Colour. In reflective light images appear as relief (CAMEO effect); under UV light, natural landmarks—the majestic Illimani Mountains, the stunning Salar de Uyuni, and images of rare pink dolphins—fluoresce brilliantly.
UNC uncirculated condition.
During the printing process on many modern notes, a dimple is created where the security thread is on the edge of the note (sometimes called a counting tick), when the notes are run through high speed counters. This does not disqualify the note as UNC.Shipping
