This note belongs to Singapore's 2004–2024 Issues, which keep the designs of the preceding Portrait series but name the Monetary Authority of Singapore as issuer in place of the Board of Commissioners of Currency, Singapore, following the merger of the two bodies in 2003.

Front: A portrait of Yusof bin Ishak (1910–1970), Singapore's first president, occupies the right of the note. The Singapore coat of arms appears at upper left and the value in large numerals at upper center. THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER and FIFTY DOLLARS are printed at center left, above the signature of the chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and a red seal, and a lion's head—the national emblem—appears in outline at lower left. Inscriptions in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil run along the top edge, and SINGAPORE is printed across the foot.
Back: The back carries the Arts theme, named in an inscription at lower center. Four musical instruments stand at the left—the Chinese pipa, the Malay kompang, the Indian veena, and a classical violin—beside “Gibbons Fetching the Moon from the Water” by Chen Wen Hsi (1906–1991) at center left, with “Drying Salted Fish” by Cheong Soo Pieng (1917–1983) filling the center and right. SINGAPORE is printed across the top, the value appears in large numerals at upper left and again at lower right, and a stylized lion's head sits at the right-hand end.
UNC uncirculated condition.
During the printing process on many modern notes, a dimple is created where the security thread is on the edge of the note (sometimes called a counting tick), when the notes are run through high speed counters. This does not disqualify the note as UNC.Shipping
