This 100-tālā note commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II and was introduced on 10 September 2026.
Although the note is legal tender, only 20,000 were produced, and members of the public could obtain no more than two at face value, with explicit instructions not to use them in everyday commerce. Most of the issue is sold at a premium to international collectors through PBN Currency Solutions, including 1,000 notes in a special commemorative folder and 125 uncut sheets of eight notes each.

Front: Three portraits of Queen Elizabeth II (1926–2022) dominate the front, showing her as a young woman wearing a tiara at left, as a young girl just right of center, and in later life wearing a brimmed hat at the top. A Samoan forest scene rises behind them, and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral appears faintly in the background at left.
Her royal cypher, a crowned EIIR monogram, stands at right above the years 1926 and 2026, and a Samoan plumeria flower sits in the upper right corner. The Samoan coat of arms appears at lower left, above the Governor's signature and an inscription commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II.
Toward the bottom, a green sea turtle swims at lower left while two men ride in an outrigger canoe across the waves above it to the right. Traditional Lapita patterns, the stamped geometric motifs of the ancient Lapita pottery culture of the Pacific, ornament the design.
The bank's name, Central Bank of Samoa, appears at the top, and the value is written in Samoan and English as Selau Tala and One Hundred Tala along the left side.
Back: Queen Elizabeth II (1926–2022), Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921–2021), and Malietoa Tanumafili II (1913–2007), Samoa's head of state, walk side by side at the center in a scene from a 1977 visit. Behind them, Fuipisia Falls on the island of Upolu pours down through the forest, and a Samoan plumeria flower appears at upper left.
At lower left, “De Arend” (the Eagle), the flagship of the Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen, sails across the waves. At lower right stand the ruins of the London Missionary Society church in the Sale’aula lava field on Savai’i. Traditional Lapita patterns also ornament the design.
The bank's name appears in English as Central Bank of Samoa at the top and in Samoan as Faletupe Tutotonu o Samoa along the left side, while the value, Selau Tala and One Hundred Tala, runs along the right side.
